How's lightning arrow?

Is it better than Sunlight Spear? Not necessarily in terms of damage but in usefulness (pvp-wise)

It's the same as Great Soul Arrow I guess. Faster cast, consumes less fp & stamina, but weaker. It's good for killing trash mobs. Sunlight Spear is better if you want to kill your enemy quickly.

I have 46, it's very fast, and hard-to-predict, but the damage kinda sucks

I had 40 faith and was getting alright damage with it, its really good for weak mobs and just finishing things off from range. Kind of like a more damaging throwing knife, but can still be used as a good spell unlike way of white corona (unless your gael)

Remeber miracles are more of a utility school than sorcery and pyromancy, with pyromancy having both ♥♥♥♥ damage and ♥♥♥♥ utility.

I like that it is unpredictable and fast to cast. Mostly found it usefull on the new covenant invasions, to catch phantoms or host and stagger for a second to then give an opening for the npc to land some hits.

Was good in pve too on certain enemies weak to lightning.

When a hard to get highish level spell does less dmage than a crossbow, somone ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Yeah thats sure, but still is more of an annoying for others spell than a mean to kill. The reaction I saw was usually starting to roll endlessly in hope to not catch the arrow, but aside of that is like the corona spell, not much use.

I love that even a certain bosses corona spell does ♥♥♥♥ all damage.

The lightning itself has an extremely quick travel time and once it's ready you can hold it forever and use it to net a stagger from any range. It's very spammable and good for shutting down casters and poiseless weapons. The damage is good, it can be used while locked on, can only be dodged by a roll, and can roll catch if you let it fly when they're mid roll.

In short, it's hell to go up against as a mage.
