Possibly the best DS DLC?
I think this Ringed City DLC pack is probably the best DLC we have gotten for any Souls game, makes DS3 shine, in fact it effectively adds 25% to the game as far as content is concerned IMHO. Ariandel isn't terrible per say, but the Ringed City makes it looks terrible.

You're gonna get a lot of hate, but just know I agree. And a lot of other people do too. It's great. Even just the lore- it's incredibly interesting and has quite a lot of depth. The bosses are hellish but VERY cool and fun to fight. The area is quite stunning too. I really liked this DLC and am quite happy with it.
Also the amount of embers that were use by the entire community yesterday could probably burn Ariandel without the fuss of fighting anyone lol

How does it make AoA look terrible?

I'd say it's tied with DS1 for DLC content, which is high praise. Oolacile was an amazing area, and I think the Ringed City is about as good. Easily my favorite part of DS3 overall

Lol yeah, Midir is a beast! XD

Slave Knight Gael is a bit too Artorias-like for my taste, but other than that this DLC is 10/10.

Because to me AoA looks more like cut content sold as DLC rather than a true expansion pack, it has effectively only one good boss, Champion Gravetender is a joke it, took me like 2 hours to complete the first time around minus the final boss fight. This on the other hands feels like an expansion pack.

Gonna have to agree. I like Ariandel, but it did feel like a sliver of content compared to the massive expansion that Ringed City certainly feels like. I mean I played 16 hours in the new DLC yesterday and still have a lot to go back through.

^agreed. I didn't DISLIKE AoA, but it was disappointing. There wasn't much substance there

i mean.. if you compare 3 DLC of DS2 and these DLC, i think the DS2 wins

For me it redeems the ariandel garbage entirely and I no longer regret buying the season pass. Its a hard choice between ringed city or ds2 dlcs which were much more expansive but less "focused"

Of any single DLC though, I think the ringed city was pretty damn impressive.

Yeah. It's so great you have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue why you're there beside "Oh there was a bonfire that teleported me, lol!".
It's not the best dlc no. Not even close. Artorias of the Abyss was much better.

Oolacile is still the best DLC in the series (unless were counting Bloodborne. Old Hunters give it a run for its money) but I think the Ringed City is a VERY close second
