Quickest way to the Ringed City

I recently started a New Game+ on my favorite character. Sadly the DLC isnt accessable till you either beat Ariandel or the main game.

In the main game i just took out the Pontyff Sulivan (spelling) again. But still have to wade through the entire city and the dungeon for the lords, plus then the library again and the prince and what not.

And on the other hand, i unlocked Ariandel again, but havent re-done it yet other than the first bonfire.

I've already finished both before, so i dont mind skipping some things to get to the DLC faster, but whats the quickest way.

Finish what remains if the main game (seems long) or just finish Ariandel? Cant quantify the amount of work that needs to be done accurately.

I would say run through the dlc. Its about 10-15 min to friede.
