Bring back the old version of Epilogue

It looks like From changed the arrangment of the credit song. It slightly different now, with an extra pianno.

Epilogue was my favorite piece of music of the soundtrack and touched me in a emotional way. I loved the instrumental, the vocals and mainly the way the vocals fades silently in the end of the song, leaving the feeling for the player that it's truly the end.

Not only i don't like the new version but I didn't ask for this change.

I'm legit ♥♥♥♥♥♥. That's how much i like the old version. Please bring back the old version of Epilogue.

Who cares if you ask for a change or not? That is the dumbest reason to complain.

But the rest of it is fine. A proposed idea to make you feel better : look up the old version on Youtube and listen to it there. Problem solved.

From decided to change it, because they probably believed it fit their vision better. It sounds nice anyways. Go look up the old song to listen to. It'd be far fetched to get From to change their mind on it.

How does it matter? It's not loke anyone forbids you to listen to the old version outside of the game.

Well, I pre-ordered the Deluxe version on PC and bought the game on PS4 as well. As a consumer and supporter of the game I have the right to complain, especially when they changed some aspect of my product.

Plus, From Software are used to get feedbacks from players, they even encourage to do so. So i'm doing it.

It matters because it changes the experience of the game for me. Especially the end game experience, which should be really important since this is the last Souls game.

And they as developers and owners can change anything they want in their game. In fact it's not your product, you are only user.

Where do you get the sense of entitlement that you are deserving of this? I'm sorry, but you bought the Deluxe version to get what it comes with over the base game. That's all you deserve, and that's what you got. And if you bought the game on another platform, that's entirely your decision.

You are owed literally nothing more than what you paid for. Now, a percentage of a percentage of the game is changed, and you throw around your frivolous spending habits in a claim that you somehow deserve to have that change revoked? Get outta here.

On the other side of the argument, maybe more people like this new version. You are nobody to stand in the way of that. Just go on the internet and listen to the old song. You know, the slightly unaltered song lacking an extra piano, as you put it.

You just spat logical fallacies, i really don't want to engage in an argument since that's not point of this thread.

I'm only giving my feedback as a consumer who didn't like the changes in the base game. Feedbacks are encouraged by the developer of the game, that's why this discussions section exists.

If feedbacks and players opinions didn't matter, From would never add the Ornstein plume for example, which was included in the last patch and only exist because users asked for it.

Fine. Coming back down to Earth, how would you propose a change? Because like I said, they changed the song because they wanted to, for their game. And if the case is more players enjoy it over the old one, then what? Why should they change it back, only to perhaps have another rise of protests over it.

An option to tick on and off in the settings wouldn't make sense. "Alternate Credits Music", check. No, it doesn't make much sense.

At least make this alternate version optional and not mandatory, and leave for the player choose what version to hear and the opportunity to do so. Like different endings, different versions of the music. That would not be diffucult to do neither unusual.

For the moment, I would be satisfied with an official statment by devs explaning why they changed the song.
