Keeping NPCs alive?

I'm hoping to get Yuria's gear by finishing her quest and defeating the Soul of cinder with her.
The thing is, she has to survive and the AI is genuinly incompetent.
And I also have this glitch where I get fps drops when I look in one perticular directon in the boss arena.

Any ideas?

Pff... i guess you should get some competent real player as phantom and hope she doesn't developes suicidical tendecies during the fight.
Else, practice, practice, farm, farm and learn the fight till you can beat Gwyn 2.0 nearly flawless, that's what i did.

To be honest he isn't too hard, unless your an NPC who has a strange addiction to snorting firey AOEs.

You can do it this way: Kill the Soul of Cinder. Return to Firelink Shrine and kill Yuria. Give her ashes to the Shrine maid.....buy Yurias gears.

I know. I once ago thought Sirris needs to participate and survive the twin princes battle to get her talisman, that was a pain. She was like: "Oh, Lorian does shiny things with his sword. I should come closer and see what he's doing!"

Yup, it does. You need her alive to ursurpate (?) the fire.

Lol reminds me of trying to have Lucatiel survive the smelter demon... She never did...

Nope...you only need the 8 dark signs. You dont need to summon her to get the Lord of Hollows ending.
(but only after you got the ending, you should go and kill her.)

Have you tried using the skull ring from Ludleth? It makes you the preferable target for enemies.

Doesn't works at most bosses, just as the skulls for baiting. Yet i recall this works at the Deacons.
