Invaded and "Heir of fire destroyed".

Has anyone had this happen? I was making my jolly way to fight Pontiff when i got invaded by a mad spirit, 5 seconds later I got a message saying that the heir of fire was destroyed and got his soul. Finished my run and sure enough, no fog gate and just bonfire waiting. Kind of sucks because Im running a solo boss playthrough and Pontiff is my second favorite after Nameless King.

This happens ALLOT in this area, so much so i see a thread at least every week on it.

Make a backup of your save before entering this area.

Esspecially if you host fight clubs after Pontiff

Some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did the same thing to me, basically ruined my plans for pontiff PvP. Sorry man
