It was a popular theory but it was discarded after the DLC came out and we met a very old Giant (Gough) who was tortured by the Lords to make him think he was blind. But we know for sure she is the mother of the Dancer, Lothric and Lorian (since the Dancer uses the "royal family" veil and she is the QUEEN of Lothric)
The Dancer's helmet says "The mirage-like aurora veil is said to be an article of the old gods, permitted only for direct descendants of the old royal family" meaning she is part of the royal family. There's another statement in the game saying that Pontiff locked an old member of the royal family to die in the ruined cathedral (Gwyndolin). So with ROYAL they mean Gwyn's lineage.
Gwyndolin is a trap, so we know he ain't got no children and the Nameless King has been living since the existence of Lordran in Archdragon Peak, which must mean the Dancer was born during Lothric existence where Gwynevere rules as Queen and therefore Lorian and Lothric's mother.
