Unplayable fps drop-stuttering
I started to play again DS3 after some months of inactivity to try the last dlc. Some months ago the game was fine solid 60 fps even in 2k.Now the game drop fps every ten second causing the game stuttering hard. I tried every setting possible in game and in the nvidia panel, i did a clean driver reinstallation too. Im the only one with these problems or is a patch issues??need help...

I'm having the same issue, the game just stutters into a pause for about 2-3 seconds completely randomly. Ran diagnostics and checked all my components, as well as reinstalled the game. Still stutters. Really weird, and especially annoying.

i had the same issues with the newest drivers and solved it by using earlier ones

Some possible solutions:

-Check your power settings, make sure is set to "High performance"

-Verify the game files

-Run the game in windowed mode

-Turn off g-sync/freesync

-If you are on Windows 10 disable Xbox DVR

-If you have a Xbox 360 controller

-Try version 373.06 of nvidia drivers using DDU and uninstall Geforce Experience

Could be your CPU. It is rather old.

It's been updates since then. Probably a problem with the latest update.

I think i found the fix...very strange. If you have a i7 or the amd equivalent, go to Nvidia panel set thread optimization from auto to disable and restart the pc. And dont touch anything about Dark Soul 3.exe in the task manager , im talking about Priority and Affinity settings, because if you touch it you need to restart again the computer. I look with msiafterburner every time you change one of this settings the game start to use core and thread just randomly. Now i know FromSoftware dont like multicore optimization at all...

EDIT: Yes is working stutter and fps drop is gone.
