What Equipment after Abyss Watchers?

Currently I sit at 20 STR and 20 DEX, I just beat the Abyss Watchers with a +2 HollowSlayer greatsword, I also have the dark sword and basically every unique sword before the Abyss Watchers fight, what weapon should I get now? Also, should I consume the Souls? I skipped the Crystal Sage but will go back to fight her..

dont consume any off souls boss you can unlock weapons and spells with them.

Well, the Farron Greatsword is in most likely easier to use, yet the other alternative is viable too.

At 20/20, it is easier to go for the Farron Greatsword thought, as the other one needs some more STR. (In exchange, better STR scaling here). E. g. it depend whetehr you wanna go for a STR or DEX build. (If you want to use them at all). For a Quality build, keep your fingers off them.

Still, consuming boss souls is rarely really rewarding, usually i transpose, even if i don't need those weapons, just because you can never know.

Yet, i suggest you to continue in the Catacombs behind the Abyss Watchers, the next boss there Wolnir will reward you with an cooler Greatsword afterall (yet it has bad scaling).

But y'know, stay at whatever gear you like, i don't know your playstyle. (Also, how do you know the Crystal Sage is female, i thought its gender is unknown)

Then you should use the Wolfknight's, as you can't really two-hand the Farron Greatsword (other hand will only get that sweet little dagger).

About the Sage: Well, in my localized version they're actually both male, but just cuz the german language made at a certain point a gender necessary (grammar and stuff). Taking a look at the english original, i've seen no clue 'bout their gender. I might do some further research about this, you waked my interest.
