How to check if i'm shadowbanned/softbanned/idontknowthereismuchnamesofbansonforum?

Hello, today i started a new character. All was fine at first, but i started to realise that guys that I PVP with are same all the time. And all the time they are much more high lvled and armored that me. At start I thought that they just completed the game without lvling up to kill low lvls with weapons and armor from end of the game, and i am just so lucky, that they invade only me, but then one of them poisoned me by one dagger. He was obviously a cheater. Then I thought, that maybe i am banned. Under banned i mean, that i'm on shadow server with cheaters, wich i heard about on forum. Now it's time to make a remark: I didn't ever use cheats. Seriously. Never. In any game. Burn in hell if u did So I had only one thought about possible reasons of my possible ban. About 5 month ago i heard that From Software made ban series in which were not only cheaters, but people that just played with cheaters too, and i remembered that around a week ago i accidentally invaded a cheater. So... Conclusion suggests itself. So to proof my theory i need to check if i'm shadowbanned somehow. So how do i do this? I written on forum already, but all i've got is blaming in cheating, so i'll say it again: I didn't cheat. And i read so much different things about bans in Dark Souls, that I kinda lost in all types of bans and other things, so just pls answer my question. Thank you in advance. If you alt+f4 much, you have a 'no coop' effect, but you can still be invaded. Use white circlet to remove this effect. There is no name for this, or I just don't know about it.

Softban: if you cheat or you modify any files (be it saves or any other game file), you get softbanned. To check it: start the game. Instead of patch notes you will see a penalized message if you are banned. If you see "invalid game data detected", then you will get banned later. If you see only patch notes you are not banned, and won't be banned anytime soon.
Softban itself means you get only matched with people in the softban servers. There is coop and invasions, but everyone you meet is softbanned too.

EDIT: If you are afraid of cheaters messing with your saves, then back up your saves.

Shadow server: it's a bug. It's similar to softban (you can only interact with others having this same bug), but it's random when it happens and who it happens to. It's a rare bug.

EDIT: To make this bug go away, you have to wait. It may take a day or so.

Thx for explaining me that. You are first man that explained it to me normaly. Guess it's a bug, cause I didn't get any messeges and circlet is unusable. Thx again.

It might be quite oposite, just cheater on new acc via steam family sharing, they got banned once a week and make new acc for next week

As it turned out my problem was that I had issues with my ethernet cable, which caused unstable internet connection. And since the game uses peer to peer connection, I could only play with people who had connection good enough to compensate mine it seems. After I changed this cable everything went back to normal.

So I can only recommend to check if your internet connection is stable enough.

Friendly reminder that this game doesn't have shadowbans, but "you've been penalized" will only show up when using English.
