Do you just wanna stab people and jam your weapon into their faces while it's charged with lightning? Choose Dragonslayer Spear. Do want a weapon that has a mix of spear and halberd movesets and can call down heavenly lightning while simultaneously being buffed? Choose Dragonslayer Swordspear.
What makes me hesitate is that:
DS spear is more aggressive but DS sword spear is styish...
The 2 handed moveset uses the r1s of halberds, which makes it slow of course. It's r2 still uses the spear moveset. However, the 1-handed moveset is just like like any other spear. The weapon art, although slow, is actually very painful if you land it against those that aren't paying attention. On the buff length, the wiki is wrong. The buff lasts for at least 30 seconds, which is long enough.
And, it's AR is not high compared to dragon slayers spear because DS spear weapon art has 2 phase damage.
Moreover, sword spears weapon art is simply useless in PvE. Cause according to my test, it's damage is almost equal to it's normal attack and only hits the enemy by a possibility of 60% if the enemy is moving.
In general, sword spear simply don't fit in PVE, especially in later games.
