White vs golden summoning
So I tend to put my white sign down to assist in some jolly co-op. What's the difference between that and joining the Warriors of Sunlight covenant and putting a golden sign down?

Is it the medals? Because I have some, and don't know what to do with them, other than to rank up in the covenant. Is it earning more souls? Higher proirity of getting summoned? Please enlighten me.

Warriors of sunlight genuinely are the go to coop covenant for anything.
So yeah, they're rewarded for helping you kill the boss. Covenant wise, they progress. Other summons are rewarded the ember and souls as per the usual.
It's more preference than anything.

Ok thanks. So I guess progressing in a covenant eventually gives you some award/trophy of some kind? Btw, I can testify the number of souls gained is equal to just being a white summon.

Also, maybe being golden makes people more likely to summon you over white summon signs? It'd probably work for me..

Progressing with the Warriors of Sunlight gives you two exclusive Miracles, Sacred Oath and Great Lightning Spear

Oh I see, I've heard of those. And I'm thinking about expanding to build with some faith, so thanks for that!

I'm also pretty sure putting a golden sign down definitely increases your chances of being summoned, btw.

I definitely summon Sunbros more often than i summon others when I can. And the covenant items (Sunlight Medals for Sunbros, Pale Tounges for Fingers, etc.) can be handed in at the covenant's respective shrine area; the Sunbros have the broken statue by the Dragonslayer Armour, and handing in 10 medals gets you some miracle or another, whereas 30 gets you the great lightning spear miracle

there's another small advantage: sometimes invaders wear the untrue white ring, which makes them appear as white phantoms. if you are a sunbro the host knows he can trust you.

Alright, just keep it coming, y'all! Can't seem to find this broken statue, however, although I have like 15 medals to burn..

nevermind, found it.
it's behind that 1 door I didn't look, though I remember being very happy to have opened it..

There's a ladder to the right of the building as your facing away from the Dragonslayer Armor. You go up it, cross the roof-bridge, then down the ladder on the other side and follow the hall. A knight is protecting the statue. Then, you can open the door inside the statue room for easy access later.

Confirmed that offering 10 medals got me Sacred Oath. I won't be able to use it for a while, having only 10 faith (it reaquires 28), but it's nice to have anyway, so woohoo!

Thanks for all the help, everybody!

Same here, I'm mainly in it to be able to fight my favourite bosses again. And farming some souls along the way..

sun bros have preference in the netcode, you will see their sign before a white sign :praisesun:

I noticed that golden summons tend to be better players.
No idea why
