So yeah, they're rewarded for helping you kill the boss. Covenant wise, they progress. Other summons are rewarded the ember and souls as per the usual.
It's more preference than anything.
Also, maybe being golden makes people more likely to summon you over white summon signs? It'd probably work for me..
I'm also pretty sure putting a golden sign down definitely increases your chances of being summoned, btw.
I definitely summon Sunbros more often than i summon others when I can. And the covenant items (Sunlight Medals for Sunbros, Pale Tounges for Fingers, etc.) can be handed in at the covenant's respective shrine area; the Sunbros have the broken statue by the Dragonslayer Armour, and handing in 10 medals gets you some miracle or another, whereas 30 gets you the great lightning spear miracle
it's behind that 1 door I didn't look, though I remember being very happy to have opened it..
There's a ladder to the right of the building as your facing away from the Dragonslayer Armor. You go up it, cross the roof-bridge, then down the ladder on the other side and follow the hall. A knight is protecting the statue. Then, you can open the door inside the statue room for easy access later.
Thanks for all the help, everybody!
