The game has been out for 2 years, and it takes only 40 hours of playing at maximum to get to level 802. He didn't cheat.
Hi, I just want to help you validate your claims so people wouldn't get suspicious of you for cheating. It takes a bit over 2,000,000,000 total souls to reach lvl 802. The fastest method you stated for farming souls is the golden winged knights at NG+7. With the souls farming gear, they each drop ~93k souls at NG+7, so around 279k souls per run. 2,000,000,000 / 279,000 = ~7,168.458... times you would need to do this. I would assume you have became extremely proefficient at killing them and would only require you 2 mins per run. Multiply 2 mins by the result acquired earlier and you will get ~14,336.917 mins. Divide this by 60 min/hr and would get you ~238.948 hours.
Hmmm...that's odd, I think you mistyped 140 hours and meant over 240 hours played on that character or you only take ~1 min per golden winged knights run. But it probably would've been a lot faster if you got someone with the patience to drop you 99x great champion souls every minute for 6-7 hours straight. I'm terribly sorry, I don't think I can help you prove your innocence, but fret not, I'm sure there are people out there with a clear judgement and would not suspect you.
Ignoring that, you can receive a multiplicative boost using soul boosting items upon their deaths - boosting your 279k to 783400 roughly.
I did the math. 2, 600, 000, 000 (roughly) / 783400 = 3318.7 (This is using an internet formula for the souls required to level, I can't confirm it's absolute accuracy).
3318.7 x 2 (which is approximately correct) = 6637.5
6637.5 / 60 = 110 hours. Now, detract from this the obvious - which is the 60-70 levels granted from Yoel at the latest stages. These are the top costing levels, ranging from about 9-12 million which let's assume is around 600 000 000 souls, and detract the first 10 million from just getting to NG+7 (random assumption) and normal levelling before then, which takes some time.
Minus a little bit of soul duping (which is hardly cheating [sort of is, but not CE kinds], just a fast method of farming), minus duelling with high level friends which drops a few million per kill.
Let's assume about 1 500 000 000 was farmed.
1 500 000 000 / 783400 = 1914.
1914*2 = 3829.5
3829.5/60 = 63.8
63.8 hours. Let's add about 50 for the general play. And we're left with just over (147 hours), approximately 30 hours of duelling, nonsense, and soul duping.
I know you were just trying to be sure, and it may have seemed suspicious to you, but I'm not a liar.
No, the fastest method of farming even after lvl 650 is still having someone duping you 99x great champion souls. Even if you surpass the greatest speed runners and do each run in ~30 mins, you can get more total souls through souls duping instead.
The approx. 93k souls per knight at NG+7 is already with all the multiplicative items on (symbol of avarice, silver ring+2, shield of want, and mendicant's staff). Only thing left out is the over-kill multiplicative, which I'm not sure how you are able to 1-shot those knights with those gear on. Surely doing these runs so many times, you would be familiar with how many souls they net you. I'm not sure how you got 783k souls per run. Maybe I'm missing something or it's been so long since you reached lvl 802 that you've forgotten about it already. But a short video of you doing a run getting you 783k souls would be enough to convince me.
So let's say you did the last 70 levels with Yoel at top-tier speedrunner pace with the Goddess of RNG shining on you 24/7 at ~30 mins per run; that's about 420 mins or 7 hours. Which you couldve easily achieved much faster through souls duping. Not sure why would counter-intuitively choose to dupe souls at starting stages and choose Yoel at later stages when a 30 min soul duping session can give you over 100 mil (much higher than 5 measy levels at lvl 600+) souls.
Really? Dueling with high level friends? You do realize the amount of souls you get from summoning reds/purples for duels are significantly less than getting the amount of souls you get from killing an invader? The only feasible method of getting over 1 mil souls per kill from your friends in summoned duels is if you are wearing all those multiplicative souls gear and win fighting them. But at that level, I guess if you and your friends go to a remote area and invade; will most likely run into each other 100% of the time.
At first, I had my doubts on whether you actually cheated or not. You could've easily said you had people soul duping for you for hours and I wouldn't have question further. But the more you explain your methods and process, the more obvious loopholes you show.
Yeah, you're absolutely right! Those 150 souls per axe and 300 souls per halberd is a game changer! I also can't believe I forgot how each of those knights drop 99x Soul of a Great Champion. Everything is clear to me now, how could I ever doubted him to begin with. I'm sorry Shard of Manus! Damn, what a DS3 god.
Regardless getting to max level would not be hard utilising save backups to drop souls, or cheat engine.
