How does Dark Souls 3 DLC work when sharing the game?
I have two steam accounts and I primarily use this one but for some dumb reason i bought Dark Souls 3 and all the dlc on my other account. I share all my games to this account, and I wanted to play Dark Souls 3 on this account, and it had the option to buy DLC in the menu screen... I mean it's not a big deal I can always switch to my other account but it's annoying to have to always switch. Is there any way that I can make it so that this account also has the DLC? Because I payed a good amount of money for the seasons pass and stuff.

I believe you can family share dlc. It doesn't hurt to try. Also if your playtime is less than 2 hours you can refund it.

I'm pretty sure I have the game family shared, but I'll double check. And I have 100+ hours on my other account so I think it's too late haha

Hmmm I just checked and I have both accounts family sharing, and it says I have the DLC installed but the menu still says to buy the dlc.... I just don't want to level a character and then have it be pointless. Thanks for helping tho!
UPDATE: I'm hella confused because in the top right of my shared game it says version: ashes of ariandel

I don't think you can family share DLC, only games.

Maybe its disabled for Ds3 no idea. Can try to restart steam or post in helps and tips section or steam subreddit you'd probably get a broader range of answers tbh.

I have 2 accounts myself and family shared the game. You can play the DLC without any issues. You can get the achievements on both accounts, also can get 20 chars....:steamhappy:
