Easier, good combat and with a similar wibe/feel.
Note that I wrote similar, not exactly the same.
Yeah the boss fight gets a second phase, which is much harder. Prepare accordingly.
Yeah, I just never agreed with that honestly, I always see people recomending Dragon's Dogma and saying it has a similar vibe. I honestly feel they're vastly different games, Dragon's Dogma is a lot easier, grindier and more stat based than DS, and combat is way more buttonmashy, it's also a much more traditional rpg in many aspects. If anything I kinda get a Gothic vibe from Dragon's Dogma.
It's a very interesting game, that looks fun and seems to pull from soulsbourne, diablo, and ninja gaiden. I definitely recommend playing the demo tho and getting a feel for the game before buying so that you can enjoy the entirety of the game.
From what i've played it's harder than dark souls and on the level of bloodborne and just as fast, but the fight style is so damn satisfying, it feels sooooo good. The boss fights are so fun, you have 3 weapon stances that add a lot of variety and dinamity to your attacks, and there are many paths you can take when leveling up your character.
Something i loved is how magic and crafting is actually viable and really fun.
But if you struggled with dark souls and bloodborne you will have an even tougher time with Nioh, the game is much more punishing.
Honestly, I didn't think Nioh looked hard, but it's good to hear from someone that has actually played it, not just seen gameplay. I'm actually looking to get a PS4 soon, so I really can't wait to try out this game.
Still though, the game only has similarities in the sense that there are Souls/Amrita and Bonfires/Shrines, and in the UI, which ressembles DS2's the most. The rest of the game is much different and more in depht than the simplistic combat mechnics of Soulsborne in general.
