There are only 2 divine tomes that you should give to her
You must've given the Deep Braille divine tome to her which gives you Gnaw and Deep Protection
Now she's outside the firelink shrine, next to the door of Gundyr's bossfight and an upset Eygon of Carim whom you have to fight
Unfortunately, even talking to her and convincing her to return won't allow her to become a firekeeper again since for that you may ONLY give her the Carim/Lothric divine tome and buy the miracles in them; giving either the Londor or Deep tome breaks this
Since I like exploring before doing bosses and such, I hadn't defeated the dragonslayer's armor just yet when I gave her that 3rd tome from the same area and bought the last few light miracles. So after I was done exploring, I decided to go beat the next boss, killed the dragonslayer's armor, came back to firelink to check on Irina, and she was gone. So, I feared the worst, but decided to check on the location she was going to be at IF I went down the light path correctly.
She's there and she's a firekeeper now. The dark miracle tome I gave her was at her feet, so giving her the tomes doesn't matter, all that matters is if you buy the dark miracles or not.
Speak with him outside the cell, then again in firelink.
After buying all the light miracles Eygon will be dead in her old cell and she will become a firekeeper in the bell tower.
Ive never had a problem with this quest, i always give the dark tomes to Karla.
I understand this is an old thread, but I am replying in hopes it'll clear confusion for someone else!
-you can give her any miracle tome, just don't buy the dark miracles.
-ensure you have purchased all light miracles
-either defeat a boss or save and exit the game to trigger her promotion to fire keeper
This last step is familiar to anyone who has struggled in trying to get the dlc triggers for ds1 to go. It's the same basic thing.
I hope this helps!
