Need help with Pyro Knight Build!

Currently SL 203.
Want to use pyromancy but unwilling to give up my shield and sword.

I have used Faith Knight Build. But the miracle damage of Sunlight Spear is disappointing.
I can't even one shot KO a maggot with 60 faith and Yoshuka Chime +10.
So that's why I want to switch to Pyro Knight Build.

Any suggestions for ability allocation?

**What factors determine the pyromancy damage?**
I don't really understand the damage calculation with spell (pyro or miracle) damage.
Also how the lightening blade enforcement calculated?

pyormancies dont scale with anything except the pyro hand and the pyro rings, i think

pyromancies scale with both int and faith level so at 40 int - 40 faith you'll have +80 pyro/dark dmg.
edit: prolly not coz of softcaps but you get it.

Spell damage is determined by the Spell Buff stat you see on catalysts. That value scales with whatever stat you see on the catalyst- most sorcery catalysts scale with INT and miracle catalysts with FAI, though there are unique ones like LUCK catalysts or sorcery catalysts that scale with FAI.

Pyromancy Flames' spell buff is influenced by INT and FAI combined, up to a softcap of 40/40. Miracles and Sorceries, on the other hand, only start scaling well at 40 INT or FAI and softcap at 60.

Each elemental buff adds a percentage of your Spell Buff stat as AR; Lightning Blade is 95%. So if you cast Lightning Blade with a talisman that has 200 Spell Buff, you get +190AR.

I think I will choose INT 45 and FAI 40, it gives the best result so far as I experimented.

But still I got one more question:

*****What's the best weapon for a Pyro Knight?*****
Currently I'm using sun straight sword and it feels terrible......
WIth lightenling blade enforcement my attack power is 625. Bit low I think for close range combat....

625 AR is extremely high.

Anyway, a Chaos or Dark-infused Lothric Knight sword is pretty good for Pyromancy. If you're going quality, go with a Refined Lothric Knight sword and just cast a buff on it; you'll most likely get more overall damage that way.

Onyx Blade is a good greatsword, and Astora Greatsword also takes well to Chaos and Dark infusions if you want a UGS.
