Was the Estoc nerfed?

It's been a while since I've played, and It doesnt feel like it used to be. Did they nerf it? and if so, what part of it did they nerf?

slower startup iirc. that was a few patches ago.

it's still the best turtle weapon though.

I was wondering, can you parry the turtle poke attack?
I can't see why estoc + black shield/havel's is so good since I haven't came across it even once.

pretty sure it's parryable.

you don't see it or any of the ultra-meta builds often because, while effective, they are extremely boring to play. also, there's a surprising amount of ds3 players that are barely aware of a meta's existence.

Honestly having to go through 20 pages of nothing but sh**posting and memes make learning about the meta a pretty tedious task.
Is there a reliable place where I can get this info? So far I have only came across a weapon tier list but not much else. Not looking for best weapon, just how to deal with a few matchups more than anything.

youtubers are the best source but you'll still have to wade through a swamp of trash.

for the most serious meta, neptunusequester and damnnohtml. neptune is a bit of a scumbag and is a super sweaty tryhard but has pretty serious and genrally interesting meta theory videos.

damnnohtml/scott jund hasn't really made anything recently but had a series where he pvped with every weapon in the game pre-dlc, with random informative videos in between. they're mostly outdated by now but a lot of the information can still be applied.
