What is actually the best one-handed weapon in the game for STR + DEX?

Finishing up some things before I start NG+, like Ringed City and whatnot, and I was just wondering...I'm running around with the fully upgraded Firelink Greatsword, I've got Artorias's Greatsword fully upgraded as well, and I've also got a Dark Sword and Broadsword fully upgraded. (Probably wasted slabs, but I'm not all too worried about that)

Are there any weapons that are better for a STR + DEX build?

refined broadsword i believe is the highest ar straight sword at 40/40

if you mean longsword, possibly. between those 2 it all comes down to which r2s you like better.

the broadsword does more damage than the longsword, but it's short and can't poke.

it's barely shorter than the longsword. the actual model is deceiving. the lothric knight sword is noticably longer than the longsword though.

i've always preferred the broardsword r2 because it can surprise so many people, rollcatches, and has a bit of a lagging hitbox so if you overshoot them, it usually still hits.

Longsword and Lothric knight sword have the same horizontal swipe moveset, best speed and range on this current patch. The damage they deal is amazing considering they can be buffed and how fast they are ( high dps) the weapon art right click is great for pvp and left click is decent. Overall any of those 1 handed is a beast.
Yes Broadsword deals more damage (20 or so? negligible tbh isnt even worth mentioning) but on moveset and range longsword/lothric knight sowrd is worth much more for both pve and pvp. Use mugemonkey calculator for best infusion calculations
