Summoning for Midir?

Why does everybody who puts their sign down to fight Midir play like absolute trash? Like i'm sitting here wasting time when everybody I summon dies literally within 30 seconds.. Should I just fight Midir solo or am i just getting incredibly unlucky with summons today?

Fight solo. Midir is a meme because none of the good players want to fight him as a summon.

Why people even summon for Midir is a better question. Gets stronger and more unpredictable with phantoms.

Unless you want a challenge, fight him alone.

Personally, I don't do the Midir fight normally. Mostly because the host always attacks the tail, which causes Midir's attack patterns to go completely beserk and gets us phantoms who know what we are doing killed. This isn't all hosts, but it does happen more times then not.

This doesn't exempt phantoms, I've seen some pretty dumb phantoms too.

Midir is actually easier solo. Much easier to predict and abuse, and his ridiculous health multiplies for each summon.

To be fair, if I'm doing Midir, I'm doing it as a sorcerer with pestilent mercury, which wrecks him no matter what.

summon those with dragon head and naked and with a stick on one hand, a tailsman on another, those will kill Midir within 1 min

I consider myself good at fighting midir (although his lazers are my weak side: blocking doesn't help and i cant dodge it for the love of me) but i'm kinda burned out on Dark Souls right now not to mention a SNOWBALL of tails i have at college right now.
Otherwise i would be HAPPY to help people with the guy all the time.

It helps to know that Midir's lasers always hit the same spot. But if you want to play it safe, run away if you're far, and go up to his neck if you're near.
