QUALITY FLAMING. 5/5
If you cooped with a few phantoms against Friede, she is easily steamrolled if locked by 3 players, and she mimics a player fairly well. If this happened on occasion, this would make spears a lot less appealing.
I should note that this covenant has already been nerfed, and the boss actually had more health, and hosts still prevailed.
1. Healing isn't really the problem, since the amount of enemies ganking you forces to chug most of your estus in the beginning of the fight, and I guess this also varies based on what the PvP boss is using.
2. Except, as far as I'm aware, you can't summon for Judicator Argo. (I've attempted him like, 10+ times, and ive seen no summon signs. Maybe I'm unlucky?) Either way, even if I COULD summon, I'm pretty sure my phantom would try to play "honorable" instead of helping me win.
3. Well the nerf is nice and all, despite that I'm just now hearing about it, but it doesnt seem to make a big difference for me.
That's weird because I know I've been embered everytime I fight him, since I've farmed them up. So if there's an NPC Phantom, I'm not sure why I wouldn't see him.
Also even if you are alone it's a pretty easy fight, tho it takes time and patience to win (like almost every bossfight in the game), and it seems you lack both.
Not being able to heal normally REALLY screws over spears. Playing a PVP match where you have upwards of 15 more estus than the opponent is lopsided as hell, and if anything, From needs to buff spears.
2. Why do you say things you don't know anything about? That'd be really dumb if you had to solo this boss. On top of that, you just continue to whine by saying "the phantoms probably wouldn't help out" Shut up you baby, you know damn well players love a good gank.
3. Again, you're speaking an opinion without really knowing what you're talking about. If you didn't know about the nerf and you're saying it didn't help, then it's just more whining on your part.
All I'm getting from your post is that you like to whine, a lot. This is Dark Souls, you need to learn to fight multiple enemies at a time. Have you never fought an invader leading you around enemies on the map? It's a similar concept here. Take care of the NPCs first, as you can do that quickly.
You can also ask for help from friends or the forums so that you don't have to depend on being lucky with signs in the area. And you should look up how to complete Lapp's questline so you can summon him in this fight
This is all a matter of you needing to harden up and git gud, really. But of course I don't want to just say git gud. It's one thing asking for advice or even help for this boss, but you need to stop whining.
1. I think you meant 1v3. The player-boss and TWO painting guardians. Actually a gank.
2. I didn't say the boss being SOLO was a fact, I just stated that I found NO summon signs, INCLUDING the npc phantoms, after about 10+ attempts. That's what I based it off of.
3. It was ironic hate. If the nerf has no bearing on how difficult I find the fight, then it's naturally useless information to me. Also, is "whining" your favorite verb, by chance?
I'm not whining, simply stating how annoying, artificial and RANDOM CHANCE the boss fight is. The painting guardians aren't random, but everytime you attempt the boss, you run into PLAYER phantoms that have completely different builds, ERGO, nearly impossible to LEARN the boss since everyone uses something different. Although, im sorry if the CAPS LOCK in the original post made it seem like I was "whining".
Oh yeah, sure, I'll focus the npc enemies first, y'know, the ones that can stunlock you into oblivion WHILE you're fighting the player enemy, not to mention how easy it would be for someone to backstab you or get really massive damage off if you focused on JUST the npc's...
OH, and here we go with the "git gud" argument. Sorry that a boss that summons player enemies with completely different builds (on subsequent attempts) is too easy for you, but in Artificial-Difficulty-Land, it's impossible to learn a strategy for a PLAYER enemy you've never seen before.
And then you immediately retract the "git gud" statement? OH, only to backpedal to the "whining" excuse. Right. I hope I've given you enough ammunition to use against me in the reply to this post, assuming you make one.
IDK wut you are talking about ...
legit all you have to do is use the spears ritual fragment spear item, then cast your heal spell.
