What's the best use of sunlight blade ?

Hello there, i've been wondering how to maximise the use of sunlight blade ( and any other buff tbh but here that's the one i use for a faith build, obviously.)

SO i started a character being mostly STR / FTH, and as usual, i fell in love with the claymore ... So early on i infused it with lightning, which suited me well ... But now that i got Sunlight Blade, i wonder if i should just restat so i have 30 faith and infuse the weapon so it takes more scaling on my STR stat ..? What's your advice on that ?

Buff dragonslayers axe or lothric knight gs. Or any other weapon...

if you already have a fair bit of strength you are probablie better of using heavy infusion regardless because less split damage

Sunlight sword has C scale for STR and DEX, but B for FTH. I think the sword is best when you are a dedicated cleric rather than mix with STR or DEX build. The weapon hits very hard even if you just have the minimum 12 to wield, but tons of FTH. When you buff it with Darkmoon blade or Lighting Blade it hits really, really hard. My characther that has 12 in both STR / DEX and 60 of FTH can kill people with heavy armor in like 4-5 hits in duels and that without using it's Oath of Sunlight.

If you are going for a STR / FTH build, I think you should just go for the Dragonslayer Axe and buff it with Lighting Blade. Or perhaps Crucifix of the Mad King and buff with Dark Blade. Just using the sword for it's buff is not worth, imo.

Sunlight Sword can be buffed, but not infused, so that's a moot point.

Oh! Nvm. You are talking about "LIGHTNING blade" (not sunlight blade btw). Yeah, buff the Dragonslayer axe or the Lothric greatsword. Not much else to say about it.

Even tho i might look into the weapon you guys mention, it's not what i'm asking tho xD ! I just wonder if i would deal more damage with a 30 faith build ( to use the spell ) and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of STR using a STR enhanced weapon ( with the gem ) or would it be best to have a build with more FTH and less STR using a lightning infused weapon ( let's say the weapon is the claymore, for example, since that's what i use ! )

Because so far, i feel like i'm doing more damage in the first case ... Tho having to apply the buff is "quite annoying" ... Since running out of mana ( or whatever it's called ) happen ^^" ! Gotta still agree that the buff looks insanely cool.

Sunlight blade isn't in the game

[40+13x-3=17x-363]

Between 30 faith lightning blade and gold pine resin is... about 40 damage diference? not worth all that stat investment.

Lightning blade is good, but only at 50-60 faith.

The damage that the Lightning Blade (not sunlight blade) or any weapon buffing spell for that matter, depends on the spell buff that you have. So having high FTH or INT along with a powerful talisman, chisme, staff, flame will increase the damage that the spell gives.

30 FTH is very low for Lightning Blade (again. not sunlight blade) to be useful. might as well just go full STR and use a resin instead if that's solely what you want.

Yup i saw it, but i wanted more people to add to it, to be sure to have enough ideas from people, because you never know, but so far, yes it looks like it's the best thing to go for as of now ! Guess i'll stick to that

Anyway, thanks everyone, this clears things up for me.

And yes, it's lightning blade, not sunlight, i'm just too used to the previous souls games ('x ! ( wonder why it got changed by the way ! )
