Sorry to give bad news, I feel your pain as a paladin/faith player.
For whatever reason, FROM Software decided to make blessed (and a lot of infusions) completely useless. They're not that good at balancing.
*Edit
The same effect can will also happen with blessed blade so if you really want make heal and dps you could use a blessed offhand then a buffed raw main hand with blessed blade use lingering dragon ring and do 500 AR with longsword and even higher against hollows. (75% of Players)
Just keep in mind your still limited
That's exactly what I do with every character, along with sun princess ring is better than using life ring imo
I was refering to the scaling, back when I tried creating a faith char, wich I didnt play much in the end, I farmed a blessed gem in the winged knight at the fountain just to see I was losing attack rating and the scaling was not worth
Thanks for the tips tho
Dude no offense but you have no idea what you're talking about, first of all 3-400 hp is nothing in the current PvP meta, as several weapons will do that to you in one hit, and if you are playing the "defensive / stalling" game, then you are playing the LOSING game.
Regen builds are only for PvE, and only with a friend who does dps, otherwise you're going to half to take twice as much damage and twice as much time to clear the same level a normal player does.
and in ds1 they actually dealt damage...
Rolling > Any shield
I prefer rolling and dodge damage than tank it, because that's what I did in DS1 and it was a really cheap tactic to play the game
