why use dark blade over lightning blade?

lightning blade does more damage due to the higher spell buff.. what reason other than lightning immune foes do i have to use dark blade

People usually have extremely low dark defense. And for me at 45 fth there's barely a difference in the damage.

Also warning paladin leeroy is still a scammer! don't trust him for trades (you can ask around any of the dark souls forums and h1z1 king of the hill and people will say he is a scammer)

also not really. one is 85% spellbuff and other is 90% spellbuff, and at 40 fth/int you will not see much of a difference. once you get up to the 60fth with yrshka 250 spellbuff ranges, then lightning blade and darkmoon blade will ouclass dark blade (still only by 5% though)

While it does give more damage, it's important to know the weapon you are going to use. Like the Crucifix of the Mad King per example. The dark buff, even if it gives less damage, would actually be better to use since you would have only 2 types of damage instead of 3 if you use the Lighting Blade (split damage crap. if you can avoid it, it's usually better).

Meh, to be honest, can't think of any other examples other than that.

Yeah i was thinking that as well which sucks as there are only a handful of weapons like that. Lothric knight UGS is hella OP tho with lightning blade
