Unable to be summoned, failed to join session.
I have the following problem: I can't go and sunbro anyone nor invade or get invaded it seems, wheever someone tries to summon me I get: unable to be summoned failed to join session. I have no cross-play restriction and UPnP is running on my router, I don't have any problem with other games, be it hosting or joining.

Does anyone have an idea on how to remedy this?

No remedy, I stopped playing the game because of this
Either your internet is bad or the host's internet is, combined with how bad the matchmaking is in Ds3 to begin with.

Either way, it's usually a result of a poor connection between you and the player(s) involved.

'Either your internet is bad or the host's internet is'
I've upgraded my internet package since last year, still getting the same problem.
No one can connect to me & I can't connect to anyone else, but I still see orange signs & blood stains.
Seriously ♥♥♥♥ FromSoftware, they didn't even acknowledge this & a good portion of the player is getting this problem

I get this sometimes, but not all the times. Normally I assume the other person died, DC'd, or has a crappy internet con.

As stated I have top notch internet and no lag problems in all the resource-heavy games I play over the internet. The problem is exclusive to DksIII

Do you have any further information on this? I was playing DksIII a while ago and everything went fine, now 9/10 summons fail for me, even without cross-region play.

As I said, this happens way too much for being host dying or a DC.

it could be your router, one of my new router started refusing to connect to certain multiplayer games and even after trying everything no one had a clue what was wrong with it.

Yeah, hate to break it to you but your "top notch internet" doesn't mean ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to anyone here. That regional option is just for matchmaking with Japan only, so you will be connecting to people from across the globe from you, and there will be latency despite your having oh so good internet.

Just 'cause you have a good connection, doesn't mean that the other person does. Learn to read my entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reply.

First, if you can't contribute anything constructive please stop posting. Secondly, in my above post I excluded that it could be because of bad connection of the other person because it just fails too often for being that. I have a quite big sample size. So much about reading the whole post.

First, I did provide something constructive, in my very first post. Learn. To. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Read.

Actually, no, you're apparently too stupid to figure it out yourself, so let me highlight this for you in bold text.

Solve that with your "big sample size". I told you what the problem was, you just decided to give the typical "Nuh-uh, my internet is PERFECT" answer.

"So much about reading the whole post". :^)

You just gave me the "nuh-nuh ur internet is bad and everyone elses too and It's the games fault" answer, without trying to give any help, you just want to tell me that it can't be fixed, I know that you wanted to express this.

This is not my sight of things, though, because it worked once at release and I am thinking that it can be made working again. Now move on, if you would.

If two people with good internet who live on other sides of the globe connect to each other there will be lag due to distance.

And as it turns out, half the people you'll play with are, in fact, living halfway across the globe from you.

I live in Australia and yet I still get decent enough connections most the time. If you can't connect *majority* of the time, you bet your a*s there is probs some problem on your end

You need to move on if anyone. It cannot be fixed. Period. Hell, I'm not the only one saying this.

And yes, I did give you that answer (but is wasn't the whole answer, but hey, I'm not the one that's illiterate), why should I believe you have "top notch" internet when you don't even back that up? If you're commonly getting this issue, ofc people will think that it has to be your internet, dur-de-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-hurr.

Else? OH NO! It could be...the other person and you can't do jack ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ about it.

OR, even worse! (oh no!) It could be the game's fault because it has ♥♥♥♥ connectivity to begin with, as highlighted in my very first post as I keep telling you. If this is the case, you definitely cannot do anything about it.

Now that I've reiterated my point for the third ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time because you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ read, good day.

If you can't even get this simplest of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ concepts then you're one hopeless cause.

Wow, you should get that anger problem fixed. I totally got what you said the first time, but why is it so hard to understand that someone does not agree with you, oh mighty omniscient internet-god?

Of course there is always some kind of lag. But if it would be on my side, what could it possibly be? I'm not really running any fancy programs except on my pretty stock Win7.

Honestly I can't really help sorry. While I've occasionally not been able to summon friends no matter how many times we tried, it has usually been down to the fact that other people in their house were also using the bandwidth or they lived as far away on the planet as is possible.

But those instances are few and far between, as I usually can connect with them and we get the 'normal' little bit of lag.

It could be an issue with your ISP, could be a DS netcode issue (wouldn't be surprised), could be on your end (like your router), could be any number of things really.
Ozmourne May 15, 2017 @ 8:35am

I think you're right. I might just have to switch routers, if that doesnt work. Then sadly ISPs.
But what sucks is that other online games work, like RainbowSix: Siege, PU: Battlegrounds, Overwatch, Heroes of the storm, Battlefield 4/1 etc
Its just this game & I blame the devs for it. Not my isp/router
