Lightning Storm vs Dragonslayer Swordspear

After the patch that increased the speed of most miracles, is the spell worth while?
Im not asking if it does ridiculous damage, but could it be a great interrupter in pvp?
What about the swordspear? Does it do okay damage to speed?
And for a better reference, this is on a Strength/Faith build with somewhat high FP.
I have plans to use the Dragonslayer Greataxe as my lightning weapon, but could easily trade that for the swordspear if it's more """"viable"""".
And for better reference, I'll most likely only cap Faith off at 45, so it wont matter to me whats better at 60 faith.

Swordspear scales both in STR and DEX, but it scales better in DEX than STR, along with FTH scaling. It has a D in STR C and C in DEX/FTH upgraded.

Greataxe was always a good weapon IMO, both are viable at 40/40 however. Depends what kind of weapon you want. I wouldn't even touch DEX for the Greataxe because of the E scaling, which does almost nothing.

Good to hear about the spear, I had more of a desire for the axe anyway, already using a poleaxe-esque weapon for my main weapon, wouldnt want both weapons having too similar of move sets, I like variety.

Yeah, the Swordspear is like a Halberd/Spear. I like it a lot on my DEX/FTH build, but Dragonslayer was always a good weapon even if you didn't use FTH scaling. Just pure STR was enough to have fun, but since you are STR/FTH then i would be ideal. Another good weapon that you can infuse is Astora GS. It is the lightest UGS in the game with a charge attack, good range and decent damage. But it also scales with everything when infused, depending on the gems, so it can be viable on any build.
