Motion should be smooth when using the keyboard controls.
Edit: I unplugged everything except kb and tried unplugging and replugging kb and then moving but the problem persisted.
Or do you know about this mechanic and something different is happening?
Ah, my mistake. So it only happens when you try to turn left? That's really weird. Has your keyboard had input problems in the past?
1. Going into device manager
2. Disabling and re-enabling your controller
3. Resetting your computer
If that does not work then unplug your controller and reset your computer.
If no controller is attached then try unplugging your keyboard and resetting your computer.
Hope this helps
1. Check device manager, see if any controllers are plugged in, if so unplug / disable them.
2. If you cannot find any there, check Devices and Printers in the windows settings, disable anything out of the ordinary, if it's vJoy or something to do with game controller or Xbox, right click and disable it.
(SIDE NOTE: if it's vjoy or something similar check to see if it's a program you can uninstall, if it is, uninstall it.)
3. On steam, go to the top left go to steam < settings < controller < general controller settings. Make sure it does not detect any controllers, this should be at the very bottom, if so uncheck everything.
4. Verify integrity of game files, this probably doesn't do anything to fix it, but it's one of the steps I took, so do it just in case.
5. It should be fixed when you next load up Dark Souls 3, if not, go into task manager disable some programs in the start up section, only keep mandatory programs enabled, unplug your keyboard and restart your computer.
If all else fails, then simply plug in a controller, make sure it is player 1, you can do that by restarting your PC if it's not. Then once it's player 1, you can load up Dark Souls 3 and keep the controller plugged in, then use only your keyboard and mouse, if it has drift you can try changing the dead zones. This should fix your movement.
Apologies for bumping the thread, just haven't seen anyone really talk about it as it's not a common issue. I hope this will solve this issue if any more kbm players come across this.
