Is this still a viable PVP weapon? I was thinking of switching to it from Friedas scythe once i get it. Would it still be viable for PVE? Or should i maybe just go for Ledos hammer since i just got it?
Any advice appreciated, bear in mind in not particularly good at PVP so choosing Friedas was probably a mistake in the first place.

Just build quality and try different things until you figure out what you like most. There's no way of knowing what works best for you until you Try stuff out.

This helps you learn how to counter all the weapons as well.

Friede scythe =gold for pvp but is hard to master
Crucifix= a beast for pvp and pve (my main weapon right now and I love it)

Welp, i ended up doing a quality build with the ringed ss. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beastly weapon. The weapon art R2 already helped me win against 2 ganksquads. Something i was never able to do before. I finally appreciate why people hail ss as godly.

If the user knows what he's doing, he'll just do R1's until he lands it and when he does, it can combo straight into it's whole WA, if the guy has a buff on this weapon he could possibly take you from 100% health all the way down to 0. much like the buffed sellsword twinblades would do before they got nerfed, or the carthus rouge onikiri and ubas before the hollow nerf, it's all about landing that first hit and then you'll either get killed or be left at throwing knife distance of dying.

It does insane damage with the wombo combo (think it was r2 -> l2 -> r1?). Also you can just mash l2 repeatedly for endless HA to see if people are dumb enough to run into it and die.

Sadly, like most halberds, you will lose to people who are extremely passive and just roll around all day. Hard to hit anyone who's 100% dedicated to rolling even with delayed swings or r2s. Backup fast weapon is a good idea or you're gonna die to some tedious straight sword tryhards.

Also since it's basically built to have Dark Blade cast on it on a 60faith build, Duel Talismans are sad times.
