moveset are almost precicely the same and the greatsword does a small amount of damage more, however the cathedral knight gs does look better.

which one is really better? because the Cathedral Knight GS does have a poke attack

Cathedral knight gs, does strike damage, looks awesome, and has a poke. strike damage by the way does better against heavy armor.

I usually prefer the thrusting r2 type ugs. Does the cathedral ugs really does strike damage? That is really neat.

different strong attacks, comes down to your preference
greatsword deals more dmg and has more range
ckgs looks way better
ckgs has lower weight
ckgs deals strike dmg, which can be nice, depending on situation

I tried both, and i gotta say the CKGS is alot better. Its lighter, so it gives you room to try different armor or something.

if you have poise - ckgs might be better because of thrust
if you do not have poise - greatsword might be better because of range
