Parrying Dagger should be able to attack when off-hand
Seriously, i can't wrap my head around why did someone in FromSoft was like "hey parrying dagger when used off hand should parry and also BLOCK"

Oh yeah, cool, just let me block some enemy attacks with my 30 physical absorption and 20 stability, that should help me to setup the parry...

Like seriously, who on EARTH would think it was a good idea?

Parrying Dagger should be able to ATTACK not BLOCK to make it a legit alternative to parrying shields. What's the point of having a weapon and not use it, ever? I mean, for intended purposes like stabbing someone.
It doesn't even has great damage or critical attacks, default dagger beats it in everything offense-wise.

And parry-frames are not that great to begin with. So what's the point?!

I just can't imagine ANYONE at FromSoft being okay with that. It has to be an oversight.

I agree with you here, and the same should be with the Bandit's Knife. I loved being able to parry with that thing AND being able to attack and build up bleed.

I'm sure you did....

..and there's a reason you can't

Right, because just blocking with a tiny little dagger makes any more sense.

...oh, wait.

That doesn;t make sense either, nor does staggering heavy armor with one... or half the other ♥♥♥♥ in the game for that matter

Yes, they should be able to attack. Why would you block with a freaking dagger? It looks silly and it makes no sense, even from a gameplay perspective.

I forgot to mention the reason is sheer INEPTITUDE

It's basically the super copy pasted code from DaS1.

Maybe, just maybe, daggers could be the only weapon in the game to do R2 attacks when off-handed? I think that would make sense.

Blocking with daggers is incredibly stupid idea, and parrying dagger is the only one that - you guessed it - exists for parrying.
In fact it exists IRL and is known as the only legit case of dual-weilding which usually goes together with a parier in only to deflect oponent's attacks.

I wanted to do ricard's rapier + parrying dagger but unfortauntely its incredibly stupid since off-hand parrying dagger does nothing and you cant parry with it if main-handed. Unless you two-hand it, which is a dead give-away.
