Not getting summoned
I've left my sign in any place I can go to, and hardly anyone has summoned me. Is something wrong on my end?
Edit: I don't know if it's important, but I'm SL 43, using a +3 Claymore, and wearing Elite knight set, sans the Helmet.

Did you forget to take off a password?

It's off. I've triple-checked, and every time I think it might be it, I check again. It's been off for a long time.

It might be the times you are placing your sign down, also check in your settings if Cross region play is allowed, if it is you can play with everyone (not just your country) might be laggy but hey! jolly cooperation! ill summon ya if you add me :D

Did ya get softbanned? Dunno if CO-OP is affected. Quit out of a bunch of invasions by chance? 'Cause that gets you soft-banned (in the long run).

Well, if it really is a softban, use that circlet. Already used it? Respawns back in Cementary of Ash every ~20 hours of playtime.

Here. Might wanna take a look at this too: Recommended Location (by SL)[darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com]

Wasn't soft-banned. Also, that's a stupid punishment for quitting out of invasions. I don't play Dark Souls while Embered for PvP, so punishing me for not wanting to do something is incredibly stupid.

SL does matter for matchmaking, so if you are too low/high a level for the area you are trying to get summoned in you might not get much. On the bonfire warp screen there will be little symbols beside areas with activity at your level, the more the better, put your signs there for best chance at being summoned.

I thought they removed that, so that your level and equipment just scaled to match your summoner?

Only if both use password. Otherwise sl/weapon level restrictions apply.

Y'know what's weird? It's only since DS III that there's fellas complaining about the PvP. So, lemme put it in a way From stated themselves at some point.

You wanna go easy mode? Then you go summon people to help ya out. But to balance the ledger, it's not just help you're gonna draw.

Ain't nothing personal... just... in DS III you got nothing to lose if ya die, unlike in the previous two games.

Anyway, I reckon you know that ya don't need to be embered to place down a sign, right?

I've complained about the PvP since DS 1, so I don't know what you're on about.
No, you don't need to be Embered to place a sign.
