I'd say both, but I was talking about avoiding the proc; it has cost me several matches by now. I haven't really noticed the buildup when I roll, hehe.
I doubt you'd like to get bled out when you shouldn't have.
Just think about it, part of your damage is some bs "meter" that builds up on people, but all of those dumb status buildups can be negated by a stupid moss item that can be used 99 times in a row.
Bleed is stupid for PvP, only meaningful in PvE where there are certain monsters that are incredibly weak to it and have huge HP pools, meaning that the total health % damage of bleed is actually worthwhile.
In PvP, you depend on people to be kind enough to not use moss for your build to work, and even then, you 're probably better off having raw damage, given that damage is severely reduced after blood infusion, the ammount of damage you'd be dealing would be probably around the same on total after getting a bleed with a reduced damage weapon on 5 hits or getting hit 5 times with a weapon that has raw damage instead. Only that with bleed, you can actually lose that damage that would otherwise be secured if you don't keep the pressure on your opponent.
Ive found no bleed weapon to be good when compared to their raw damage counterparts. and this isn't even bringing up the fact that you can actually roll through bleed, LMAO.
Just quit it son, save yourself the trouble.
Moss is always a factor but it's not what kills Bleed. It's the damage you miss out on compared to just using normal infusions.
Kinda interesting how if you roll thru frost proc you don't take the dmg but still retain the stamina regen slowdown and lowered defenses.
If they should patch anything, the regen effect and lowered defense should be patched since not taking dmg but having the effect applied is very inconsistent - either have both or none imo
Honestly seems like they don't know wtf they're doing. Not sure why this would be so hard to program. I keep my faith in Miyazaki's minions and his grand design.
But you know what's really annoying? Bleed through shields.
Since when i have a common blood system with my shield?
I don't really care about how effective things are in PvP. The only thing that matters to me is how much fun I have. I use a Notched Whip and a Blood Ghru Dagger; believe me, I know they are not the best weapons to use, but I have a blast with them. It's just the rolling through the bleed proc that bothers me a little.
Also, it's hilarious when the so-called tryhards kill me and point down afterwards (and even more when I kill them).
Onikiri and weebadachi are very effective at that, I've certainly bled lots of people with it, their WA with HA can stagger before you even land the attack, and it ensures 2 L1's afterwards, it's the most reliable bleed tool I've found other than annoying people with quickstepping bandit knife, also the regular claws have a similar WA to onikiri and work in the same way.
they should just fix getting buildup after rolling and you'll never see people rolling through bleed again.
I mean, bleed isn't something that can be reactively rolled through because it's instant, the only way to avoid it is to roll first ahd hope that you get bled afterwards. but what does from know about fixing stuff right? after so many buffs to things like the dark hand and many tweaks to bleed and poison you'd think they would eventually find out why is it that they suck, but the core issues that affect them have never been touched.
