Should I be at lothric castle?
Lothric castle is a GIGANTIC difficulty spike for me. I can barely take out a single undead, and they take away 80% of my health per hit. I am level 60, and I killed all lords of cinder, so far but no area has been this hard... As if that wasnt bad enough, there are now stronger Lothric knights that onehit me and hardly take any damage at all. Most of the time there are a lot of enemies at once, making it even harder.

Should I be going somewhere else first? Did I miss something?

What level would you recommend?

What are your exact stats? Maybe you distributed them wrong and your damage isnt high enough. Are you sure you killed every LoC (Yhorm and Aldritch)?

Don't think you're really underleveled, 60 sounds about right. Maybe you're undergeared or just have too low vigor... What is your weapon, upgrade level and stats? Maybe you should do a trip to the consumed kings garden before you tackle Lothric Castle if you haven't already.

If you've killed the three other lords of cinder and taken out the boreal dancer, then yes, lothric castle is your next step. Your SL is fine, the question is what is your build, gear, and how much vigor do you have? The knights in lothric DO hurt, even with a good vigor stat and armor, but they shouldn't be one shotting you unless you're roleplaying a thief or magic user.

60 sounds about right for lothric castle.

You aren't supposed to take on all the knights at once. I lurded them out, and it was pretty manageable (at about the same level).

You're not underleveled, you probably just forgot to level your Vigor stat.

Here is my build. I am using an Sharp Astora UGS +8 and the Fallen knight armor, along with a random 100 shield, I think the Knight one. I am levelling towards using greatshields next.

Edit: Updated Link & I am using shield of Want

Your vitality is way to high. The stat is only useful when you want to increase your equip load. Your damage stats dont fit your build either. Since your astora ugs is sharp it would be better to run a dex build instead of having equal strength and dex. You could also do a quality build with a refined infusion and equal dex and str.

You have super low amounts of Vigor and Endurance. Also too much STR and not enough DEX for a sharp infused weapon.

With this stat distribution you can do it, but you didn't specialize as much into damage or health as most players would.

27 vigor is min for alot of us and 40-40 for a quality builds str/dex is what you want for damage.

Id say just level another 10 levels and it should be much more manageable if you put it into those stats.

If you had specialised more into hp and damage 60 would be fine, but you spread it out which means your not hitting softcaps on anything. You should be able to do it ok but if you want to make is easier those 10-20 levels to reach 40/40 and/or 27 vig etc would do wonders.

Also sharp isn't great for those stats. You have more str than dex. Go refined.

Basically what he said, to get the most out of sharp you should go for 40 dex at least, or if you're going for dex/str rather than sharp use refined infusion. you can level your vit so you're just below 70% equip load with your gear and invest the rest of points into vig so you have a little more survivability.
So either level like Meriliem suggested or do a respec at rosaria.

Just a quick question: can I cancel a respec? I would like to look at what I can do, but Im not quite sure what I will do yet.

Also... Gonna have to do some invasions. Dont have a tongue atm.
