Mornes Ring vs Lightning Clutch Ring

Yo ,

I was wondering which one would do more dmg on my pure faith build .
Im running the Sage Ring +2 , Sun First Born Ring, Darkmoon Ring and im thinking which of those is better for PVP . Since the Lighting Clutch does boost the ar of my Lighting Longsword and the Miracles and Mornes only boosts Miracles but how much does Clutch Ring gives compared to Mornes ?

Ever heard of DS3 wiki? It lists the bonuses in %.

Clutch - 15 % boost lightning damage, 10 % reduce phys defense

Yeah i know the pure stats but clutch is reduced for pvp to i think 7,5 % or lower
and i wanted to know if someone tested this to see the actual dmg couse 12% miracle is diferent from 15% or 7,5% to lighting and how it is added in the calculation

Why that ? The damage boost on Sunlight Spear and others is quite nice , what rings do you suggest for full faith pvp ?

i tested those rings with some buddies and the dmg boost you get simply isnt worth the lessened defense nor the ring slot it takes up imo

im playing melee only tho, guess i'd just throw a life ring, RoF or chloranthy in there, something like that ~~

yeah the def loss for lightning is quite bad when you do 7,5% more dmg but get 10% more , but on the other hand faith builds tend to oneshot .

Firstborn and Mornes are def worth

I run this build since i started DS3 and those slots are well used , the dmg is at least 100 points for mornes and some 200 points for suns which make 300 total dmg plus

Im just trying to find a good balance between full dmg 2000 Sunlight Spears and gettin oneshotted my self ( tears for the win :D )

the new lightning bow can be nasty, but other than that...eh, how do you even hit people with miracles ~~

I think you should equip mornes ring if you don't want that damage absorption. I have ring of faith, sage ring, mornes, and sun ring. It's been doing pretty well for me so far.

yeah the bow can be annyoing but only if you know how to time it right after a roll and your heavly punishable ,

well i only use sunlight spear vs ugs users and the likes who strike super slow but heavy
lightning stake for fast movers like katana dudes couse it got a higher range and aoe
and litghtning storm for quick step spammers and backstab fishers ^^

i win about 80% of my fights in the arena , most people dont even know how miracles work sinsce they think they are useless

yeah its annoying that you HAVE to wear sage and suns
that leaves you with only 2 spots
im using mornes plus darkmoon right now couse i need that 7 slots :D

Honestly with clutch rings, you're always better off using the rings that directly boost the school of magic you're focused on, and even on a miracle heavy build, it depends on what you're using. I personally wouldnt even use the Sage Ring since with Talismans, you can still trade blows efficiently with miracles.

On that note, First Born is mandatory, no question, but you can probably make use of other rings instead of Sage and maybe even Morne's if you don't use offensive miracles enough.
