Yeah but he got killed on the first attempt, very quickly while I was grabbing and equipping Storm Ruler. When I came back the next time he was gone and his armor and shield were there. A sad and dissapointing end to that quest.
Yhorm didn't ewven look at me, he just ran straight for Siegward and started smashing him. It was painful to see.

I summon this dude and he's throwing some spell at Yhorm that hits with 5k damage and staggers him and I'm just like WTF. My character is high dex and low strength, not sure if that relates to the fact I can virtually do no damage to him.
At least I'm past him now I guess, because on Xbox One I'd given up at this point.
Damn, despite somehow managing to finish the first two games I guess I'm still a complete noob. Since that fact is already established and just to be clear here. We're talking about when you two hand, hold the left trigger and right trigger to gaurd break. I just wasn't holding the right trigger down long enough? Lol sounds about right, spud confirmed.
