You're probably already doing this, but if not you can use the Hoe tool you can make the ground fertile which is supposed to make things grow 3x faster.
On to my new issue though. about 90% of the trees grew full, but like 5 were only mid sized and 1 was still a budling (first phase after the seedling phase)
I guess there's some level of RNG or something and some get stunted or just a lot of bad "rolls" for growing?
Now I'm working on my mushroom farm and some shot up right away but others after several hours still won't grow full. I can clearly plant mushrooms right next to each other, so I wonder what the mechanics are behind how they grow.
I also assume you maybe want to plant mushrooms out of direct sunlight perhaps? But the majority of them grew just fine so I don't Think I need to redo it?
I do wish that you could create some sort of Planting Plot that allows you to grow plants outside of their biome, hopping between areas is mildly annoying but it is what it is.
Thank goodness for the Vacant Zones, they make this all quite a bit easier.
A planting plot would be awesome.
But now I need to see how the mushrooms grow. if some grow full and some grow half and that's it or I just need to be patient with some more than others.
I really don't like how unevenly they grow though.
also it's funny that the first stage of growth is smaller than the seeds,
