(+) Playerbase
(+) Focus on Multiplayer
(+) More fractions / untits / strategies
(-) Hard to come in
(-) Toxic community (sometimes)
SS4:
(+) Focus on Singleplayer (I don´t need that)
(+) Community friendly
(+) More fluid gameplay (I mean you dont walk from green cover to cover)
(-) You always have to play with or against pvran :D *
*just a joke :)
However I can say that COH is a solid tactics based game that is much more fast paced. SS4 is a much more slower paced and is stratergy based but with tactical elements. In my opinion SS4 has bigger scale, far better sound, atmosphere and general immersion.
Yup, me too.. COH is an easier game to play but still requires sound tactics.. This game is much more micro.. It is definatley meant for the high clicks per minute crowd.. Not easy to create mixed control groups as you have to eliminate the units you dont want from the unit bar, in the group, rather then pick them.. This means you may have to deselect 10 or more units to get the three you actually want.. Pure visual recognition of unit types is needed as there are no unit icons to differentiate and the camera zoom is limited making that tuff at the start.. I kind of wish I had never played any other RTS games before I tried this one, I have become spoiled by having my hand held to often by other games.. The degree of skill to make full advantage of all your units is very high... That is not to say the novice will not have fun.. It can be paused to execute orders and create control groups in single palyer, not sure about multi play but I doubt it.. I think a better compairson would be the men of war series.. This game has its quirks, but overall I think it is a good game and I find myself repeating missions just trying to get better.. It is a slow go, but I am figuring things out.. Have not been challenged like this in a long time..
Cheers and happy hunting..
