This chest isn't locked I'm pretty sure. You can just teleport it out and open normally. That, or the key is on the dead imp in the same room.
There are extremely few chests in the entire game that have 100% resistances across the board and an impossible lockpicking level, making a key mandatory. I don't remember which ones can only be opened with a key though, since I know all the relevant key locations...
I think there's an indestructible Ornate Chest in Black Cove, near the entrance/before a suspension bridge in the area where you fight Pontius Pirate. If that happens to be your chest, the key is somewhere on a ledge after the bridge.
It wasn´t the lava-chest.
I reloaded and checked.
But I´m not sure if it is the Black Cove Chest either.
Went there and searched for the key - no luck.
Which must mean that I already picked it up.
I never throw away keys, but no luck.
Btw: The chest is really big, almost as big as my character.
No idea where i picked up that freaking chest.
But honestly: Why the f*ck does this BlackCove-Chest even exist the way it does?
Even the loottable is meh...
I mean...wtf ?! WHY ?
Maybe.
But there are endless situations where you can´t use your toolbox.
Indestructible doors, statues etc.
Places you can´t reach by teleport, pyramid or jumping...and many more.
I´d love to use my powers in creative ways, but more often than not, the developer wispers over your shoulder: "No-no! You have to do it my way (or f*ck of)!
It´s kinda sad.
It´s a good, sometimes great, game -but it could be so much better.
Best regards,
herrguy.
