Hard time upgrading and enhancing my weapons and armors!!!
Can someone please help me, i'm kinda new to this game and i did learn some recipes for making enchanted armors and weapons but when i click on the grindstone or the anvil it does nothing. I do have the mats to enchant my armors and weapons but when i put any of them on the grindstone or anvil the progression bar fills up but nothing happens because i keep the normal item in my inventory.
What am i doing wrong ?

the grindstone will improve bladed weapons and the anvil metal armors, to ''enchant'' ur stuff u need to select the material and combine with the weapon or armor

When i combine my sword with the grindstone nothing happens, i keep the same sword unchanged in my inventory. If i look at my recipes already learned if i want to make an enchanted axe it says i need a grindstone and any axe wich i have and when i combine the axe at the grindstone nothing happens. I do have a golden chalice too for making enchanted armors and again nothing happens when i combine them.

Do you have points in Blacksmithing? That is the skill required to improve weapons and armor.

And it can only be done once on an item.

My blacksmithing has 2 points in it

Check the damage and value before and after using the grindstone. The weapon won't look any different, but the numbers will increase (if you haven't previously used it on the grindstone).

This.

An easy way to know if it worked or not is to do the craft. Once it is done, if you get a red cross it means it can't be done, if you get a white question mark icon it means you don't have enough skill in blacksmithing or crafting, and if it shows an item it means the craft/smith worked.

The final item won't change name so it can be confusing. In some rare cases, the final item won't change stats, but its quite marginal.
