Issue with Book in Maradino's Study?

Just wondering if anyone has the same issue in the EE, cleared out Maradino's study but the book to open the door will not activate. Shows up fine holding alt, but even with 5 points in telekinisis I can't click it from anywhere or even teleport it.

Files validated fine and didn't really want to restart yet in case it happens again but anyone have any other ideas? Also tried reloading/quitting/reopening the game.

Cant pick it up, just right click and choose use or read, and the door opens!

same problem book has a lock image on it don't know if that's causing it, last playthough was fine...fixed you have to zoom in and click on it rather than try to pickup...the icon will show the same as clicking on candles

The book is tricky to activate due to the bookshelf being right behind it, which tends to result in the character activating the bookshelf rather than the book. You need to position the mouse (zooming in and rotating helps) so that you're seeing the gears rather than the container mouse sign.

Use B to go to the overhead view and zoom in. You want to click on the book jutting out from the bookcase, not the white book that's laying open on the shelf, that's the wrong book.

I really want to reiterate here......right clicking and hovering over the book in tactical mode worked!! BUT......IT WAS NOT EASY! It really took some some mouse finesse and searching...to the point to where I thought it was no use. Just wanted to say..if you run into this issue it is most likely not hopeless. Keep trying. I almost gave up but finaly got it the door opened!.

Hm, that is really strange, I never had any problem clicking the book.

I wonder if this could be some bug that shows up in Windows 10. I still use Windows 7.

I think it is because people try to click on the open book and not the one sticking out of the shelf =)

The atual book is not the open one on the last hself, but the one on the middle shelf tilting out; click on it and click 'use'.
