Oil Barrel + Empty Potion Bottle = Potion Bottle of Oil
Potion Bottle of Oil + Empty Canister = Smoke Grenade
Cup of Oil + Empty Canister = Smoke Grenade
That requires no new art assets, it currently is an invalid combination, and the cup is reusable, which is okay because you still need the casing and the smoke grenade does no damage.
Yeah smoke grenades are essential for my rogue.
Currently, I have an archer that's using smokescreen and I cast smokescreen with my mage if needed since smoke grenades are so scarce; it works very well for cancelling enemy archers and mages to cast spells while my rogue picks off baddies one by one. Smoke really locks down the playstyle to be an effective rogue and is a ton of fun.
Oil+fire=smokescreen
Any combo of that makes thick blinding smoke; similar to smoke arrows, and smoke nades. If your archer has 7+AP and one point of Geomance, use Midnight Oil, then hit it with a fire arrow.
Alternatively, buy smokescreen arrows/arrowheads.
Yeah, I get that. The thing is, my rogue has the highest initiative of my whole party, so having smoke grenades handy is just the best option.
