New Wishing Well puzzle (Hiberheim)
I managed to solve almost everything but I cannot figure out how to unlock or open the gate blocking access to the lever. This puzzle is different from the one in the original version.

Does anyone know how to unlock that gate in order to trigger the lever ?

Lol, here am i, finally playing this game for serious after reaching like 50 hours on it the first time and end up abandoning it.

Stumbled across this puzzle, tryed everything, just like @Zephorax, even pressed everty switch avaible to me, on the upper floor there is only 1 switch, that is the room without lava.

I pulled the lever, nothing happened and there i stuck. Dunno if it's a bug or something like that, i'm playing with Epic Encounters mod, so maybe there is something bugged here, i ended up doing the cheesy way like @G00SE told, for that i thank you my friend

I really wish to solve this one like a normal person, but really, what's the only thing i haven't tried yet?
Just came here to complain about how bad the reward was for the puzzle and how figuring it out requires trial and error rather than skill and ingenuity. Bad design.
ifs design is fine if you understand the scoundrel's skill set. two novice scoundrel skills, invisiblity and winged feet. dont really know what to tell you. its just pull some levers while avoiding some traps.

of course you could do it wrong, or try some other... less intuitive way. but you are robbing a vault, its a theif set. use your thief skills.

you could manage it some other way, but its not a badly designed puzzle if you use the skills that should be obvious for the puzzle.
Used them, probably completed it faster than you did, still bad design.
For me there was no success when I tried to teleport the statues. Also you can forget about unlocking the gates at the end of the right and left corridors, even if you have a 5 in lockpicking. I don't like the cheesy teleporter pyramids method, if there is something better, and there is.

There's more than one way to solve this. I did something similar to what what Hastur advised in the comment above. Here is the explanation in more detail.

To begin with you see 3 pressure plates. Put a barrel or box on each. Then a character with high perception looks for the fourth plate, which is hidden under snow. Put a weight on that.

Now you can go up the stairs, through the central door and there are two doors, one left and one to the right. Turn right after passing through the central door and you are in front of the lava filled corridor. I shot the sentinel in that corridor from just outside the door (took a while to do), and I'm not sure you need to do this step. Then I cast winged feet on one character (make sure they are unlinked from the party first), ran over the lava to a lever on the left, activated the lever and ran straight back to safety.

This lever causes the fence on the opposite corridor (the one that starts with no lava) to vanish. Take the character with hover feet ability to the entrance of THAT corridor. Activate hover feet again and then activate hide in shadows (so the semi-invisible statue doesn't see you), then run up the center of this corridor to activate the lever at the far end and run back. There is a little mine here, so you have to be observant or lucky to miss it.

The lever you just activated removes the fence back at the far end of the first corridor, the one with a chest behind it. Wait until hover feet resets, activate it, run up to the chest, and either open it and take what is in it, or if you are strong enough pick it up and run back before hover feet runs out. The chest isn't locked. The treasure within is a single ho-hum item, barely worth the effort of obtaining it.

**One footnote worth remembering**. If, at this time, you have Bairdotr in your party holding or carrying the Tenebrium wand that kills the Guardian, anyone else touching or carrying it will be infected with rot and lose hit points slowly until they die. I had Bairdotr put the wand into the chest I recovered here, because if you go back to the end of time refuge, to swap her out for someone else when she has the wand IT AUTOMATICALLY PASSES THE WAND ONTO ONE OF YOUR TWO SOURCE HUNTERS AND INFECTS THEM. Once infected the only cure is using a source stone on the infected person.

I was in your same exact situation Zephorah. Both statues destroyed, had people standing on each button, etc but nothing was working. I found a cheesy way to solve it tho:

- Place one teleporter pyramid as close to the gate as possible

- Use the other pyramid and teleport your whole group to that location and some of your characters will end up on the other side, allowing you to hit the lever to open the gate to the chest. (Just keep teleporting around until you get someone inside, might take a few tries)

-Once you hit the switch you can stand on the edge of the lava and throw the pyramid over to the other side with the gate now open and have access to the chest.

jesus christ I've been struggling with this for hours watching EVERY.FKN.GUIDE and nothuing helped but your cheesy method did...May you and your family have the wealth of a thousand emperors!
To get into the treasure room the lever to my right does not work? I am through the blur ice door and I continue to click on it but it does not cancel the guardians. Am I missing something I killed the winter king entered next room oh yes I have the amulet by the well. “WHAT AM I MISSING?”
