Is there a way to recharge wands?
I don't know of any but I'm fairly early in the game still. Anyone?

For my sake, I hope you're also only one hour into the game.

You can craft them and vendors seem to have a reasonable supply of them as well. Since you'll be replacing them with higher-level versions when you level up, individual wands don't tend to stay in use for a long time anyway.

I just wish the lone Wand skill did more than just give you +1 uses of a wand. If it doubled the uses, that would be MUCH more useful and inviting for me to take it.

I hardly see any sense for using staff charges so far, the time you can use them without high AP costs, you can probably learn the spell just yourself and changing a staff in combat just to use a charge will costs you even more AP :(

The benefit to the charges when you can cast the spell yourself is that they're on separate cooldowns. It also provides you the option of having the spell via the wand and using your Adept slots for other spells (since you can only know a few at a time).

make an enchanter/wizard/witch/battlemage and put a point or two in wand skill. it can attack from distance the same as a bow, but elemental wands are easily obtainable. rain + normal attack with electricity? boulder bash with fire wand? sounds fun no?

LW and GC don't mix anymore and both have been kind of nerfed.

Nonetheless wands are already pretty damn overpowered, even without the recharge mechanics. They do one of the best damage currently there is - we're doing reliable ranged elemental attacks of 150-300 damage on around level 7-8. And that is currently without figuring how to actually boost wands with crafting.
With level 5 Dual Wield a Lone Wolf with dual wands can easily attack about 3 times a round.
They can easily swamp elements and Air Wands are a huge advantage as well. You can stun whole groups of enemies in water and blood without any serious AP investment, with no cooldown.

I find so many wands I don't see the need to be able to recharge them.

I like the wands that give you a free AOE attack such as Fireball in the earlygame. See a group of enemies? Use it on them before the battle starts! Free tons of damage! And since in my case the spell is impossible to use in battle (12 AP wut wut) I might as well use it pre-battle! At least, until I get more pyro levels.
