Turn off magic pockets?
I can't remember exactly, but I don't remember my partnets being able to take my stuff from me to use, and I don't remember sharing gold. I think the main problem I have is the sharing gold thing, especially for a competitive like co op experience. Am I missing something? Is there a way to turn this off?

There is no competitive co-op in D:OS 1.

Competitive CO-OP? That sounds a bit contradictory, but whatever floats your boat.

However, magic pockets can't be turned off, but it only applies to things like keys, shovels and quest items, gold isn't shared between 2 players, it is only shared between the characters the player controls, so in most scenarios where you each control 2 characters, they'll share their gold, but player 2 can't use player 1's gold.

Competitive Co Op isn't a feature, it's an idea in this example. Not in the grand scheme planned for D:OS 2, but just in the sense that you are cooperating with a friend to get through the game, but you are also competing with each other, seeing who can get the most gold, best loot, most kills, etc. But perhaps I missed the fact that gold isn't shared between actual players, only the characters one player controls. That would solve most of my gripes.

So you were griping about something you hadn't actually experienced yet?

No, I had played co op with a friend before, and just after that I played a file of single player, which only then I noticed the sharing gold. Which is only half of the post, the other being about magic pockets. That's why I thought it might have been an overlook on my part, at least with regards to the gold.
