Any way to respec characters in this game?
Only reason I want to know is because if i simply just restart i'll have to spend 6 hours doing laps around Cyseal again to grab and do all the quests there; only annoying thing about starting a new game.

Other than that i love this fkin game. :D

You can respec the two main characters later, after you unlocked enough rooms in End of Times. (A demon will offer it.) But it will also make you forget all spells, so be prepared and it doesn't work for companions. At least it didn't work in Non-enhanced divinity.

Good to know thanks. And as in spells you mean skill books? Can you get additional copies of every skill book there is or are some in the game only once?

Yes, spells are skills :)

You can buy them several time and find a lot, some are just more rare as others I guess. Also in EE you can craft skils using skill books.

What I wanted to say was just, you should be prepared to acquire the needed skills, if you respec even if you had pyra and want to relearn it.

i gave my wizard geo, aero, pyro, and water for her first few levels. People are saying 1 wiz can't do all schools so i feel like i goofed up.

All four elements on one guy are pretty harsh. Even with the old glasscannon trait. But the first level hardly costs you anything and some variety can keep you going. Had a glass cannon with water, fire, witchery and later air in my last playthrough. We also had a an air-rogue and earth-archer and a full-tank.

End of time will also offer you a trader who sells two books: one to gain3 skill points and one for 1 body points, every few hours.

I give every single one of my wizards atleast lvl 1 in every school. Its good and you didn't mess up. You won't be able to lvl 5 all of them but thats why you usually get 2 wizards.

Every school has some really nice ability 1 spells and for 1 ability point thats a steal.

ok cool. Thank you. I'll find 2 i like then. I'm thinking air and fire maybe...air is really nice so far.

Every element has his good sides and bad sides. If you master them, the game gets fairly easy even in tactician. ;)

Water for heal and stun combo with air.
Fire for damage and creating smoke to prevent range attacks from enemies.
Air gives a lot of dissables and displacements, but take care to stun your own guys.
Earth work fine with fire and gives a lot pets to distract.

fire usually goes well with earth and water with air. Say the earth spells deal poison and you can follow up with fire on the poison to create an explosion etc things like that. Certain elements have a certain synergy together.

So water and air go good together? Water has heal spells so im ok going water/air.
MiniNinja Oct 28, 2015 @ 5:22pm
yeah thats fine. But there is not saying you cant go with air and fire either..thats the beauty of this game. Say you have 2 wiz and decide to spec them so they synergise with each other - one lays an oily goo and next wiz deals fire.

Just care were the water flows if you use rain spell and afterwards some lightning attacks. Electrified water can stun your close combat guys aswell. ;)
