Can't get into the Source Temple
I USED to love this game. Now, I'm pissed off so much, I may quit. I've been trying to get into the Source Temple for 2 days. There are 2 stone doors with elemental symbols in front. There is a locked stone door in the area where there are many pressure plates. There are 5 other locked doors with other locked doors inside where I can't get to. There is an area with an invulnerable statue shooting lightning bolts and locked doors around that.
I did put the 3 statues on the pedestals and opened the mirror port and left 1 character there. I'm sick and tired of blindly hitting the 2 levers and getting nowhere.
I don't care about spoilers or cheats. I just want to move forward in the game.
Can anyone help me. Thanks

The 2 levers control the gates right below. So you'll have to use someone to walk through. I believe you can just teleport through the gates though if you want to cheese through like that. Another way is where the elemental switch is, if you look there is a key on the crate by the entrance gate as well. You can use someone with telekinesis to grab it through the gate.

One switch will require you to teleport the statue that is facing it so he doesn't strike you down with lightning. There are 2 teleport scrolls in the room. I forgot how I did it, but I was able to remove the lava as well so you don't die when hitting the switch.

What elemental switch.
I found 2 locked doors with keys on barrels but cannot reach them.
Didn't understand the last part at all. Do you mean the statue shooting lightning bolts?

Where the levers are after you enter the mirror, there is a switch there, I think it's the Water switch or something. You need to get to all 4 of them to open the doors into the tunnel.

do you mean 1 person on each?

No, once you hit the switch then it's activated and you don't have to stay there anymore.

That area in the original had around six mini boses with mobs, now it is just a lame ass puzzle that is pissing a lot of people off... Really brilliant game design choice to remove a ton of end game combat (which happens to be the best part of the game) and replace it with "puzzles and traps that insta-kill" (which happens to be what Larian does THE WORST).

You should go back and try the original, I would be willing to bet you would like it 100% more...

As far as the puzzle, you will see the symbols on the door (fire/earth/air/water) and the ones that are "lit up" are the ones that you have already hit "their switch". To really help you we would need to know which symbols are "lit up" and which ones "are not".

1. Which stone door with elementals on them. There are 2 of these.
2. What about the stone door (no elementals) in the area with lots of pressure plates
3. there are 2 places with green pressure plates. I had 2 different chars step on both places and I can't tell it if it is "lit" or not.
4. I assume the flame = fire = red
5 cloud = air = what color
6. snowflake = water = what color
7. can't tell what the 4th is
8. what level telekinesis do you need to reach the keys
9. what do you do in the area with the shooting lightning bolts
Now you can see why I'm so frustrated

Yes the end game puzzles are VERY stupid. The game thus far has not had any puzzles that builds you up to get you ready for this crap. All it has been was searching for hard to find switches/levers and stuff. I understand your frustration and I also had to look for help.

The two stone doors with elements on there both open up when you hit all 4 switches. It doesn't matter which door. Also the stone door you in #2 is pointless, don't worry about it.

Ok. So I assume you got one of the elemental switches since you are at the 2 levers after taking the mirror portal.

The elements don't matter, just know that there are 4 switches you need. The levers next to that switch control the gates below it. Send someone through the gates as you hit the levers and he/she should reach another elemental switch. This is the same area where the key on the boxes are. A void monster will spawn if you go up the stairs so bring your party if you need to.

In the room with oil and sentinels shooting lava, you need invisible to make your way through the oil to one of the corners that has a switch that you stand on to open the gate in the opposite corner. In that room there are 2 teleport scrolls. Teleport the sentinel away so you can reach the switch. I forgot how to disable the lava trap, but you can teleport someone onto the switch. He/she will die afterwards though.

I forgot where the last switch was. I don't have a save file from earlier so I can't look.

that was helpful. I think I have 3 of them green. I think the 4th one is in the lava trap.
is there a way to disarm the lava trap. I don't have winged foot or any of those floating spells

You might be able to

1. throw a cooking pot on the switch from a distance
2. Teleport something nearby on to it
3. Get you fire res high enough (over 100%) and then just disarm the trap/ walk onto the switch

The statue is sitting on another trap, so moving/teleporting it will result in... problems

Did you ever figure out how to locked the 4th (snowflake) light? I can't believe after all these years there's not a good walkthrough for these puzzles.

To north of the locked Source temple entrance, there's a rock altar/podium with three small rock pillars on its edges with images on top of them. You have to move a statue on top of each of those rock pillars. Once done, a portal will spawn in the middle of the altar that leads to the snowflake button.

All statues are in the vicinity of the altar iirc. One of them has a bunch of fish around it, the others I don't remember.
