Respec Mechanism seems bugged

Admittedly i've never had a reason to use respecs in vanilla D:OS, so i have no data on the subject. The need arose in co-op play to use the functionality associated with Respec, namely, to shift around some stats.

Wiki states that one can exchange one Talent point for 10 skills points. When i used it, however, it only gave me one. Further still, when my co-op partner tried to use it (he had 12 unspent skill points), it instead took away 7 of his skill points, instead of giving at least 1 (so he's now down 1 Talent and 7 skill points).

Any input?
