Also note that there are only four unique'ish followers that you can pick up in game and one of them (Madora) is spec'd a 2-handed knight and of the four she is spec'd to be her class better than the others are spec'd to be their respective classes. This means that if you don't plan on going double lone wolf, making one of your two mains a 2-handed knight you will have to use another one of the four followers (as having two, two-handed knights builds would be not advisable) which are not spec'd nearly as well- Madora also comes with the talent "come back kid" which can only be taken once you have a +5 in willpower, Madora has it with a 0 in willpower...
