Questions thread
Thought I'd just make a general questions and advice thread since I'm newb and don't wanna clog the forum with different questions. There's a lot of content in this game that seems helpful but not sure what decisions to make.

If anyone else is new to this game feel free to use this thread to ask anything else that might be on your mind.

My first question is shadow essence, is this worth keeping? Seems to sell for quite a bit of gold but if its something rare that might come in handy later I dunno if I should sell it. Anyone know if shadow essence is worth keeping or just sell it?

If you are using a character with a shield, you can craft Tenebrium resistance on a shield with shadow essence. You can also use it to craft invis potions.

Any other usage is pretty much pointless, so if those two don't sound good just sell them away.

Ok not really using anyone with a shield right now, can anyone use a shield if they invest points? Some of my mages with wands could probably use the extra defense.

If you dont have dualwand ability, it's a nice way to just put something there. It makes switching wands easy because quick switching will only select the non-shielded hand.

Shields on mages are useful early game. Late game, they become useless as you grown more expertise in CC and keeping enemies away. Investing in shields just for resistance/block on non-tank role is not worth it. You're better off trading in (homestead demon NPC) those ability points into attribute points for CON instead for defense.

For the mean time, a lv1 shield is good enough until you find something else to occupy their hands.

Shadow Ess can also add sneaking to 1-2 armor type, if you're the sneaking kind of player. Otherwise... invisibility and potions.
