Report a translation problem
Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a save near the end of the fight, and maybe one before it started (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc).
For Windows you can use the report.zip file generated by the D:OS EE Analysis Tool[dl.dropboxusercontent.com].
Extract the zip file somewhere and run AnalysisTool.exe. When that loads, browse to the install folder (if it is not automatically detected), optionally run the tests first, and then generate a report (it will be saved in the same location as the Analysis Tool).
The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. To reduce the file size, you can delete most of the saves from the zip (double click the zip file to open it in Windows Explorer, then browse down to the savegames folder).
For OSX, saves can be zipped by right clicking the folder(s) and selecting Compress, in the folder:
~/Documents/Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition/PlayerProfiles/<ProfileName>/Savegames
Linux is similar, with the saves in the home directory.
i should have depending on how many quick saves ago it was. ill try to send a save game when i have time to follow the steps you mentioned
Also the void dragons pretty easy my only problem was keeping the godess girl alive (soz haven't played in a while and have forgotten some names)
I feel like killing Astarte myself!! She is hopeless, she keeps getting killed in my final battle, its driving me nuts. God I hate getting spammed by summoned enemies and status effects.
I can handle my own team, but I hate babysitting someone who has no concept of self preservation.
I love this game, but this last battle is,..... frustrating.
I can live with the summoned enemies,... they are a pest, but I can kill them off.
Its the whole instakill that the void dragon unleashes,....
Sheesh,.... I guess its a measure of how good this game was, how frustrated I am trying to finish it.
Glad I kickstarted Divinity II. Maybe I'll have killed the void dragon, or at least have negotiated some kind of truce or mutual understanding with him by the time Divinity II comes out.
As I eluded to, killing the summons with the spell of the same name helps tremendously. (don't forget that you can use scrolls if noone has the skill)
If Astarte tends to die on you a lot, you wanna be prepared for that, healing her, casting appropriate elements absorbtion shields on her, maybe making her invisible helps too (didn't test that)
It may also help to put a smokescreen between her and the dragon or a wall of ice (also didn't test that)
In my first fight I also struggled to keep her alive but manage with heals and shields, in the second playthrough I didn't really need that since killing the summons and nuking the dragon can end the fight quite early.
Is this bug solved, and is there a patch? Do Larian still need saves to debug?
The only workaround I know of is to reload an earlier save, either before the fight (the auto save on the stairs) or an earlier save during the fight might work, depending on when the glitch was triggered.
I have gotten 2 saves with this issue, so I don't think any more are required. It was only one person who mentioned curse was a difference between when they tried when it work and when they had this problem, so I think that is most likely just a coincidence.
